Renee Soule
Ecopsychologist, PhD Candidate
Renée G. Soule, PhD candidate in Psychology at Meridian University, has been developing and teaching ecopsychology for over 25 years. Beginning with extended stints in wilderness and outdoor settings, her recent work has branched into the cultural and urban dimensions of ecopsychology. She is adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies and John F. Kennedy University, conducts online courses emphasizing the psychologically transformative potential of environmentalism for the Sustainable World Coalition, and teaches Nonviolent Communication in San Quentin Prison. Renée’s focus within ecopsychology engages ecological crises as an awakening impetus driving creative change in myriad ways; personally, interpersonally, and culturally--ready or not.
